Basil’s Blessings features a little green inchworm who loves God with all of his heart. He praises God every day for his blessings and God rewards Basil with endless joy. One bright sunny day Basil decides to travel to his favorite golden field of dandelions and “dustbunnies” (fluffy gray dandelion seeds). His journey is filled with praises to God with every step of his five pairs of feet. On the way, Basil passes a few friendly ants and enjoys the delicious fruits of Strawberry Heaven. He even stops to admire God’s creation, a pond bathed in sunlight. When he arrives at the bright yellow patch of dandelions, his happiness is overwhelming. Suddenly, he is joined by BB, a baby bluebird who hovers over him and then lands near him in the spacious dandelion and dustbunny field. Basil prays to God to warm BB’s heart to become his friend instead of becoming a tasty meal.

Krista Snyder has a love for both serving God and serving others. She loves sharing her faith with young children and is passionate about volunteering in her church. As a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Krista has served in several children’s ministries which include: a Pre-Kindergarten Religious Education teacher for over 10 years; a craft crew leader for Vacation Bible School for over 15 years; and currently she leads the Handmaids of Mary, a group for 3rd–6th grade girls who strive to be Mary-like in all they say and do in imitation of the Blessed Mother. God has taught Krista many things through the course of these years of service. The most important message she wants to pass along to her readers is that God wants us to share our day with Him because He loves us so much. Krista’s first book, “Basil’s Blessings, My Special Day with God” is a model of how to meet and speak to God in each moment of our day. This builds our relationship with Him. Krista attended West Chester University for 2 1/2 years enrolled in the Early Childhood program. In December, 1992, she chose to work full time for G. E. Richards Graphic Supplies Co., Inc., Landisville, Pennsylvania. She has been dedicated to her job as a Purchasing Agent for 29 years. Spending time at home is something Krista enjoys. She is always planning for the next craft project, being outdoors or spending time with family and friends and reading books.
